Problems That Needed Solving
- Floofins and Co out of Elmhurst, IL (suburb of Chicago) built a massive website over the last 14+ years and needed to figure out how to scale back their website to keep it lean and quick. Over the years, they added an e-commerce platform, student learning center, dozens of landing pages, and multiple plugins to do all the things.
- As a part of the clean-up and website refresh, the website also needed to be refreshed to give it a new look and feel.
Project Details
- Custom designed website, developed with WordPress.
- Went from 70 plugins down to 16 plugins
- Removed many “premium” plugins to save monthly/yearly costs
- Worked with team to be prepared to produce SEO friendly blog posts instead of announcements
- Created easy to manage staff list so that the team and update, add, and remove staff members extremely quick (due to the nature of the business, staff changes quite a bit)
- Signed up for the Complete care plan package
